Driver's License & Age

 The drivers and hirer must be between 23 and 65 years of age and must possess a valid driving license in Malaysia or valid international driving license with at least two years driving experience. Malaysian "P" license is not accepted. 

Rates

Rates are quoted in Ringgit Malaysia. Daily rental rates cover a full 24 hours with unlimited mileage. Excess hour is calculated at 1/6 of the daily rental rates.

Minimum Rental Period

A minimum rental period of 1 day is applicable. 

Insurance

Rates include unlimited liability insurance coverage of third party bodily injuries and passenger risk and third party property damage up to MYR 100,000. 

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

PAI

Personal Accident Insurance is available upon request. In the event of car accident, PAI provides each driver and passenger coverage of up to MYR 10,000 for death and total permanent disability. Insurance will pay MYR 1,000 for driver and MYR 500 for passenger each for medical reimbursement. The total claim per car is depend on the seating capacity allowed for the vehicle. (Terms of PAI subject to the current engaged insurance company). 

Payment

We accept all major credit cards. Visa / Master Card / Amex. 

Security Deposit

A security deposit for rental vehicle from RM 400 to RM 4000 ( the amount paid  base on car group )  to be collected upon the vehicle collected by hirer. 

Parking Fee and Traffic Fines

The renter is liable for all parking and traffic summonses incurred for the duration of the rental. An additional MYR 50 administration fees will be charged to the renter above any traffic fine for any violation arising from renter’s use of the vehicle. 

Petrol

Rental vehicle comes with a full tank of unleaded petrol and must be returned likewise. Otherwise the hirer will be charged for refuelling cost. 

Extension of Rental

It is important that hirer must inform Suria Car immediately in the event of extension of rental, because need to facilitate the insurance coverage. Failure to do so will mean the hirer is driving the car without insurance & Suria Car permission. 

One Way Rental Fees / Delivery & Collection Service in KL City Centre & Out of Office Hours

Suria will charge one way rental fees for out of state from MYR 200 to MYR 480 depending on the final destination hirer will like to drop off the car. Example of One Way Rental Fees: Rent from Kuala Lumpur and drop off in Penang, Johor, Melaka and vice versa. Hirer is advised to refer the one way rental fees with Suria during the booking process.Suria will charge a minimum of MYR 30 or above per way for delivering the rental vehicle to a specific address specified by the hirer in the booking form for booking made within the same state. Out-of-Hours Surcharge: Additional fee will be applied to the rental if the vehicle is picked up or returned outside of our standard operating hours, which are Monday through Sunday from 8:00am to 7:59 pm. This surcharge covers the additional costs of providing service outside of our regular business hours, such as having staff on hand to assist with the rentals and extended facility hours.

Additional fee structure will be imposed as below:-

• Pick/Return at or after 8.00pm RM 80
• Pickup / Return at or after 11pm till 7.59am RM 120

Baby Chair / Booster

Baby chair can be arranged at RM 20 per days.

Repair

Any cost of repair during rental period will only be refunded with the presentation of supplier"s original receipt and damage parts. Any repair exceeding MYR 100 must get prior approval from the car hire company. 

Breakdown Service

Suria Car Rental has appointed Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM) for the 24 hours breakdown service assistant to assist the hirer in case of emergency need. 

Restriction Area & Road

All Suria Car vehicles are not allowed to be driven in Singapore and Thailand. All rental vehicles not for use in off-roads, unsealed or unmade roads or surfaces.The vehicle NOT allowed to enter Langkawi island and all other island that without bridge connection as well .

Collecting Rental Car

• A valid credit card in the name of hirer must be presented to the duty officer while collecting the rental vehicle for charging. Please make sure there is a sufficient fund in the Credit Card. Failure to do so, Suria Car will not release the rental vehicle to the hirer and no refund will be accepted.
• A valid driving license, travel documents and passport shall be presented to the duty officer. A copy is needed please prepare it.
• There will be a waiting charge for any rental vehicle that is not collected after the 2nd hour from the original collection time.
• If we are not informed about the delay or late, we will consider as No Show after waiting for 2 hours from the original collection time.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellation charges are as following:   
  1. Cancellation fees of MYR 68 for cancellation made in 14 days and above before your actual rental pick up date.   
  2. Cancellation fees of MYR 108 for cancellation made within 3 to 14 days before your actual rental date.   
  3. Cancellation fees of MYR 158 for cancellation less than 3 days before your actual rental date.   
• No refund will be given if No Show for car pick up.   
• No refund will be given for unutilise rental duration and period.
• Cancellation can only be made via written notification through email ( sales@suriacarrental.com.my) 
• 1 day equal to 24 hours.
